Our Mission

Aplastic Anemia is a rare but serious condition where the bone marrow stops producing enough blood cells, leaving those affected vulnerable to infections, fatigue, and bleeding. Our foundation is dedicated to raising awareness, supporting those impacted, and funding research for better treatments and ultimately, a cure.

Together, we can give a voice to the 300-900 people in the U.S. diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia each year and ensure they receive the care and support they deserve.

Our What

At BraxtonBStrong, our mission is simple: To raise awareness about Aplastic Anemia and provide resources for those living with the condition. Founded in 2024, we are a group of dedicated advocates, grieving family members, and emissaries of hope who believe that through awareness, education, and funding research, we can change the lives of those affected by this rare disease.

Our Why

In 2024, our founder lost the life of her nine year old son, Braxton Bearden, to his fight against aplastic anemia and the complications this rare disease harbors. Throughout his treatment, it became apparent that even though the severity of AA is as it is, the amount of attention and support it receives does not reflect that. In her time of need, she received emotional and financial help from a large portion of her immediate community, something that not everyone in her position is lucky enough to have. Now, Braxton's family is on a mission to spread awareness, and offer the same support they received to families in need. All proceeds raised by the BraxtonBStrong Foundation will be used for just that, so help us by donating today and getting involved.
